Street Preacher Advocates Bold Faith After Police Confrontation

In the bustling vicinity of Kings Cross station in London, a street preacher known as Mon B found herself at the center of a debate between her faith and law enforcement. A video has surfaced showing a police officer dismissing her message, saying it was “all wrong”. Despite the encounter, Mon B is calling on Christians to stand firm in their beliefs.
Mon B was actively spreading her message and singing Christian hymns when security personnel informed her of a restriction against standing in front of the station barriers. Compliance led her to reposition, but soon after, the police intervened with contradictory instructions, advising her to stop her activities altogether. The officer’s critique of her preaching followed this interaction.
In response to the incident, Mon B took to Instagram, passionately declaring, “The GOD I serve is very real and HIS name is JESUS! He cannot be mocked. Don’t stop His servants from doing what He loves. To see souls saved. I pray this is a wake up call to all those who don’t believe and for Christian’s who have slumbered. CHURCH ARISE!”
Interestingly, Mon B recounted that while one officer opposed her message, another was receptive, even requesting prayer afterwards.
This scenario bears resemblance to the case of Angus Cameron, a street preacher in Scotland who faced arrest in 2022 for alleged homophobic remarks. Cameron’s experience highlighted the variability in police responses, contingent more on the officers’ personal stances than on legal statutes.
Initially, Cameron interacted with an officer who expressed no objection to his scriptural quotations, acknowledging, “all you’re wanting to do is put your point across and you’re taking quotes out of the Bible, and I’m not going to challenge you on that.” However, a subsequent officer took issue following a complaint, accusing him of causing offense despite Cameron’s defense that his words were purely biblical.
Cameron was detained, though ultimately released without charges. Nonetheless, a Non Crime Hate Incident was recorded against him. After a successful appeal, Cameron received compensation, and the record was expunged.
