In a recent interview, President Donald Trump revealed his motivations behind mediating the end of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war, suggesting this endeavor could potentially secure him a place in Heaven. Speaking on the “Fox & Friends” program, Trump expressed his determination to stop the conflict, highlighting the significant human cost it has incurred since Russia’s 2022 invasion.
During the call, Trump discussed his recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders at the White House, part of his administration’s efforts to broker peace. He stressed the importance of saving lives, noting, “Ending the war could save 7,000 people a week from being killed.”
Trump, who is 79, humorously remarked on his spiritual standing, saying, “I want to try and get to Heaven if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well.” He added, “I hear I’m really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to Heaven, this will be one of the reasons,” referring to his role in potentially resolving the conflict.

As part of the peace efforts, Trump had previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, focusing on resolving the conflict that began with Russia’s February 2022 invasion aimed at securing rights for pro-Russian communities in regions like Donetsk and Luhansk.
