Melania Trump Denies Ties to Epstein, Urges Congress for Hearings

Melania Trump Addresses Epstein Allegations, Calls for Congressional Hearings

In a rare public address, First Lady Melania Trump has firmly denied any connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein and urged Congress to allow his victims to testify. Speaking from the White House, Trump reaffirmed her stance, emphasizing the need for transparency and justice.

“I am not Epstein’s victim,” Melania Trump stated. “Epstein did not introduce me to [President] Donald Trump.” Her statement comes amidst speculation due to recent Justice Department releases, including a heavily redacted FBI interview suggesting a potential introduction between the Trumps and Epstein. She further clarified, “I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims. I was never involved in any capacity.”

The First Lady called upon Congress to act: “Epstein was not alone,” she said, urging for public hearings where survivors could testify under oath. Her statement coincides with the Department of Justice’s recent announcement that former Attorney General Pam Bondi will not comply with a subpoena before the House Oversight Committee regarding her handling of Epstein-related documents.

Melania Trump’s name surfaced in the latest tranche of documents released by the DOJ in January. President Donald Trump, a former friend of Epstein, also appears in these documents, although he has denied any wrongdoing. An NPR investigation found certain documents naming him were initially withheld.

An email from Melania Trump to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate, was recently highlighted. In it, Trump complimented Maxwell and suggested a meeting. “My email reply to Maxwell cannot be categorized as anything more than casual correspondence,” Trump clarified.

She further denied ever visiting Epstein’s island or using his private plane, dismissing circulating “fake images and statements” linking her to Epstein. “Be cautious about what you believe,” she warned, calling for an end to these “lies.”
