Deadline Extension for NPR’s Student Podcast Challenge
The anticipation around the Student Podcast Challenge has prompted a wave of requests from teachers and students nationwide, seeking more time to finalize their podcast projects. In response, organizers have decided to extend the contest deadline, providing participants with a little extra breathing room.
The new submission deadline for the NPR Student Podcast Challenge is now set for Sunday, May 25 at midnight E.T. This adjustment aims to accommodate the busy schedules of students and educators who are balancing numerous academic responsibilities while aspiring to excel in the competition.
The challenge encourages students from 4th to 12th grade to create podcasts either independently, with their classmates, or as part of an extracurricular group. Each podcast entry should span between three and eight minutes. Teachers, educators, or any adult over 18 can submit the completed podcasts via the submission link.
The winning entry will be awarded a certificate and a trophy, with the podcast gaining exposure through NPR programs such as Morning Edition or All Things Considered. Detailed rules for the contest can be found here.
