Charlie Kirk, a prominent right-wing activist and podcaster, was fatally shot during his “American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University, an event that has left many in shock.

Erika Kirk, speaking to Fox News, conveyed her determination to continue her husband’s legacy, stating, “If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea… what you just have unleashed across this entire country, and this world.”

The tour, organized by Turning Point USA, had 14 more engagements planned, with the next event set for September 18 at Colorado State University. Despite the tragedy, Erika Kirk confirmed that her husband’s radio show and podcast, The Charlie Kirk Show, will persist.

Encouraging young individuals to engage with Turning Point USA, Erika emphasized the organization’s commitment to “traditional American values like patriotism, respect for life, liberty, family, and fiscal responsibility” as outlined on their website.

Kirk’s views and the organization’s activities have often sparked controversy, with the late activist previously criticizing civil rights legislation and hosting provocative figures like Alex Jones, a broadcaster involved in a significant defamation case.

Erika Kirk expressed gratitude towards law enforcement and political figures, including President Trump and Vice President Vance, for their support during this challenging time. She poignantly shared, “Mr. President, my husband loved you, and he knew that you loved him too. Your friendship was amazing.”

While reflecting on her loss, Erika Kirk mentioned her difficulty in explaining her husband’s absence to their young daughter, tenderly saying, “He’s on a work trip with Jesus.”
