France and several Western countries are set to recognize a Palestinian state today. This move, supported by leaders advocating a two-state solution, coincides with the U.N. General Assembly in New York City. The assembly is expected to increase pressure on the U.S. and Israel as tensions in Gaza continue.

Arrests and killings by Israeli forces have surged, and work permits for Palestinians have been revoked. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a 51% increase in ground beef prices since February 2020. Americans’ taste for beef remains strong, but changing. The beef industry is influenced by several factors:
- 🍔 Droughts have hindered cattle farming, leading to record beef cow slaughter in 2022.
- 🍔 The slaughter resulted in a meat surplus, lowering prices and discouraging herd replenishment.
- 🍔 High operational costs deter ranchers from expanding herds.
- 🍔 Foreign beef imports are decreasing, with high tariffs on Brazilian beef and livestock restrictions from Mexico.
